For this adaptive reuse of a 39,000 sq. ft. historic pier building in Lower Manhattan, CASE was brought on to manage the BIM coordination and clash detection process for the HVAC contractor: ACS System Associates. CASE developed a comprehensive BIM model of the HVAC design alongside design engineers, streamlining the shop production process. Using 2D documents supplied by the fabricator, CASE developed the BIM and generated clash and proximity analysis. CASE also utilized a web-based issue tracking platform to help its client in the constant tracking of issues and their resolution. CASE regularly attended meetings held by ACS to effectively manage the project wide coordination.
